The Wild Goose!

08/22/07 Delavan Lake clear 79 degrees. Winds SW 5-10 mph. H20 75 degrees at surface. I had the chance to fish with Jim Cheadle today, writer and outdoor personality from the Sunday Shopper. Jim blesses us with his weekly Wild Goose column on Sundays writing on the outdoors, including fishing! Jim and I had some great conversation and managed to boat a 11 walleyes ranging 16-17 3/4", despite the high water on Delavan. It has been estimated that the lake level went up 17-22" with therecent rains. There was quite the algae bloom on the surface. The most productive depth was 17-24 FOW, using leeches on lindy rigs.
